TWO CONROE ISD EMPLOYEES ARRESTED FOR IMPROPER SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STUDENT AND EDUCATOR
Chris Sutton a Conroe ISD Police Officer was arrested today for Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student. Sutton, who has been with the district for 9 years in the capacity of sergeant resigned February 17 when CISD became aware of possible charges against him.
Sutton is accused of engaging in sexual contact with a male student from Caney Creek High School on or about August 23, 2012. Sutton and the adult male student knew each other for a period of time and on August 23, Sutton picked the male student up at a church function in the Woodlands area. It was then the student realized it was Sutton he had been chatting with on a male homosexual site called “Grinder”. The pair went to a park off SH 242 and and engaged in sexual contact. This happened several times from August until February 17, both at that park and Carl Barton Park on Loop 336 in Conroe. It also took place at an undisclosed residence.
Sutton admitted to the acts to CISD Chief William Harness in a February 17 meeting This meeting, the result of the incident being investigated by two detectives assigned to the case.
Chief William Harness said, “These charges are serious and the safety and well being of our students remains our highest priority. The district is working closely with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the City of Conroe Police Department.in the investigation.”
Sutton who as a supervisor has access to all CISD campuses normally works in the Woodlands area.
Sutton also serves as the coordinator of leadership programs, including the Police Departments Kid’s Chat program and the P.A.L.S. program as well as other activities.

Of course this alleged pervert is innocent until proven guilty and placed into a cell with other deviates and perverts. Until then, let’s find out just who this man came in contact with in the way of students. In fact all incident that he handled over the years involving student getting in trouble should be looked at again and dismissed with an appoligy from the CISD. There are most likely other CISD officers that knew about this man’s perverted activity with kids and we need to peel back the onion skin to find out where the stink stops. This is an outrage that CISD allowed this man into such a trusted position. Now we all sit here and wonder how many more perverted cops CISD has in it’s program. Thanks again MCPR for bringing this filth to light. I feel sorry for all the students he threatened, molested, scared, and tramatized…sure glad he quit…now put him in prison.
Mr. Sutton loved to intimidate and try to scare students, I have learned. Some of the young folks I’ve talked to in The Woodlands indicated they remember him from years back when he work there for HISD in security. I’ve heard that he seemed to love exherting his petty authority over the youngsters and may have molested and had relationships with other kids. This is all hearsay, but we sure don’t need this type of gutter trash around our kids…now just what is CISD going to do about this outrage ? Cover it up, let is die in the news, give Sutton a nice slap on the wrist in the courts, or put into prison where he belongs with all his like minded buddies.

Ok, everyone calm down.. the student was 18 about to be 19 so HE is an adult not a child.. secondly you can be up to the age of 26 and return to high school….if the student is 26 should we prosecute for a 99 year sentence? That being said I knew Sgt Sutton and worked for him for years before I left to pursue other careers and all i can say to chris sutton is BAAAWWWHAHAHAHAHHA!
I want to know why the other Sgt resigned the same time as Sgt Sutton did…..does she know something that she’s holding back…I hope there checking her out also…She’s not menationed anywhere. I find that to be strange.

wow, did not know another CISD cop/supervisor resigned as well…it may be time for the MCPR to start an investigative report section so we can keep up with this outrageous situation..do you folks know how dangerous it is to have law enforcement personnel like Sutton in charge of our kids in public schools. I say give each and every person in the CISD Security unit a good old polygraph exam and check for rape, molestion, theft, etc…lets clean house over there now before any coverups occur. Somehow I think this whole thing goes a lot higher than we think. Let’s see a story on the other sgt. that left the CISD too…what was her motivation to leave..at this time…
Fire the entire CISD Security unit is another idea…then, let our highly trained constables and deputies handle the security on an off duty basis. These bottom of the barrel school cops are useless anyway and only are there to hassle kids not protect them….

Let Sutton find some pals in Huntsville….he was in a position of extreme authority and must get the full sentence if found guilty. No telling what else he’s done while a funny little school cop that he was. Another sicko hiding behind a badge..throw the book at him.
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to sit back (with very little “known” information) and speculate and criticize something or someone? Every “type of work” known to man (firemen, police, bankers, politicians, etc.) has had at least one, if not more, “bad apple” in their bunch. These “bad apples” doesn’t mean the entire batch is spoiled. You can’t possibly believe that employers “knowingly” hire someone who is a “bad apple”. People change. Even someone you are close to can change and do something that will simply floor you one day. In my opinion, Montgomery County has top rate first responder agencies (law enforcement, fire, medical). This definitely includes Conroe ISD P.D. Another top rate agency is the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. There is no doubt in my mind that they will prosecute this crime, or any others, to the fullest extent of their ability and the law. Without a doubt, each one of these agencies goes above and beyond to protect the citizens within this county. Why don’t we allow these agencies to conduct their investigation(s) accordingly and stop “bashing” them for one person’s mistake.
I’m beginning to believe those stories about getting pregnant from a toilet seat. With these 3 clowns making the rounds at local parks for their trysts, expect a bevvy of reports about getting knocked up from a bleacher or a see-saw.
I have to agree with Outlaw. I know several of the CISD PD officers personally and will 100% vouch for each one of them. Based on what you are saying, then when a teacher or educator is found having a relationship with a student, the school district should fire entire staff????

There are great CISD Police Officers (they are not security) they go to the same Academys as all other Law Enforcement. This one sicko does not represent the entire agency. I believe the question should be asked of Chief Harness, “what did he know”? He is the one that appoints these Sgt’s to their positions. The truth is he is outdated and complacent. Get some new leadership that has the ability to boost moral and get modernized. Not to mention to have the insight to recognize integrity or the lack there of- not just put lap dogs in the higher postions as “yes” men, or women as it may be.
To add to my original post- why was Sutton allowed to resign and leave and not arrested by the Chief as soon as he “poured his heart out about the love triangle”? Is the Chief not allowed to arrest someone for breaking the law? Was it incompetence, ignorance or leniency? I say have Chief Harness step down-let’s start fresh! Crime has hit our schools we know that by every day headlines, let’s not let it come from the inside by those higher ups hired to protect it. Get a Chief in there that is respectable and responsible and will take action when it is needed.

First off: To Patron46: You are either a disgruntled employee or one that has been let go by the Chief. I have known Chief Harness for over 30 years when he was on the force at HPD. Anyone would know that the Chief is part of the investigation and therefore cannot make an arrest. He did the right thing by letting Conroe PD take care of this. Secondly, the Chief has been a leader in the community and his department for years. Patron46: this Chief is reasonable and respectful. He takes his job 150% serious and does it well. Look at the turn around time that was great to the bomb threat at Caney Creek and the apprehending of the student who made this threat. Get your facts straight.
To Patron46: The morale at Conroe ISD is something that you are not aware of. Regarding the arrest, in any case you must have all the facts first. If he just made an arrest, that could have ruined the investigation. Morale is built and established with all employees within an establishment. Because you are a disgruntled current or past employee, you do not speak for everyone and it is wrong to do so.

It is easy to hide and slander people behind a comment blog. It is much harder to state this in person.
I have know Sgt. Sutton for many years, and he is a good man. I have worked closely with CISD Police throughout school, and they will not cover up anything that happened. Everything in this article is alleged; stop convicting people before you hear their side of the story, and you get the facts. If it was not for Sgt. Sutton I do not know where I would be today. It is because of Sgt. Sutton that I stayed out of trouble throughout school and to this day I have never got into any trouble with the police. Most people that are bashing Sgt. Sutton are in facts the people that received a ticket or got arrested by them. Sgt. Sutton and his family are all amazing. When my mom died he was my first call and he relayed the news to the other CISD officers, and the officers that I have worked closely with came to my mom’s funeral, and showed their support for me. I do not know what I would have done without sgt. sutton in that situation. Also, to the people saying the other sgt. that resigned must have something to do with it. All I have to say is y’all are looking for a story that does not exist. I know her as well and she is an amazing woman. She is like my second mom and sgt. sutton is like my second dad. And I will stand beside him through this whole thing.
