mcso takes another 15 kilos off the street

Early Sunday afternoon Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office stopped an old tour bus which was northbound on Interstate 45 on a traffic violation. After talking with five passengers on board deputies became suspicious and deployed a drug dog. Within minutes the dog detected a spot inside the bus which deputies then searched. A total of 15 kilos of cocaine were found. The five suspects are being detained at this time for questioning.

This is the second large seizure in Montgomery County in 48-hours. Friday afternoon a narcotics investigation in East Montgomery County led to the seizure of 10 kilos of cocaine.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office the value on todays seizure was between $1.2 million and $1.5 million dollars.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables Office.

  1. State of Texas needs a new road sign on I-45 reading “Welcome to Montgomery County… Cocaine Corredor of Texas”

So far 178 people have recommended this story be read. I can only deduce that these are people spreading the news as to why their cocaine order hasn’t arrived. When something like this happens do the customers get their deposit back or is it automatically applied towards bailing the courier out of jail?

  2. Another worthless comment form the “Local Drifter”…

  3. It looks to me like we need to set up a few mandatory check points with drug dogs on site and require every bus from Mexico to stop and answer a few questions. Would that be considered as profiling ?

  4. Saw this yesterday afternoon at Longstreet & I 45.
