FROM A BENNET ESTATES READER-SPEEDING TRUCKS
Greetings,
I am a resident of Bennet Estates. 14905 walker road, Conroe, TX. (off
1314)
Recently (January 1) the sand pit folks at the end of Calhoun have started a
new industrial process at the end of Morehead road. (site of old sand pit
off walker road) –
So as much right as they have to run dump trucks and 18 wheelers through
this residential neighborhood, (Gone again are the days of walking your
dog, riding your horse, jogging, riding your bike or pushing your baby in
the stroller) they don’t have the right to speed through here.
These folks are not obeying the 30 miles per hour speed limit. It is not
only the dump trucks and 18 wheelers…(once they get on the long stretch on
walker..they are going around 50 mph) but the pick up "Oil" company trucks
are going even faster than that. I followed one going 59 MPH.
This may be their workplace, but it is still our home. I would like to see
them drive here as they would drive in front of their own home…especially
with these dump trucks full of heavy sand. Their ability to stop for a dog
or a child is nill. My neighbor wonders if they are also obeying the weight
limit…I have no way to tell.
Wanna generate some ticket revenue…come out to walker road….you can sit
at either end and catch in between the curve (which they can barely make) at
walker and east or at the turn off of walker onto Moorehead.
We residents and our children and our pets don’t stand a chance with them
turning our residential neighborhood into an industrial park.
(when they come out of the sand pit at the back of Calhoun, why don’t they
just go straight and come up to Moorehead from the back? There are fewer
residents to bother back there and it is a shorter distances with less
impossible turns for them?) They are tearing up the sides of the roads.

push an empty stroller ot into the rd see how fast they slow down
Call the police department every day until they send someone out to run radar. keep on calling as long as the problem continues.
