house fire in south montgomery county
A home at Carson Ridge and Rayfordcrest was destroyed just before noon on Friday. Multiple calls started coming into 911 about the fire. A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department unit was just around the corner and called for fire. In addition he called for two wreckers to pull two vehicles away from the home that had flames shooting out the second floor windows. The home owner was attempting to save some belongings before the fire got to intense.
South Montgomery County Fire Department arrived on the scene minutes later followed by The Woodlands, Spring and Needham Fire Departments. Crews immediately entered the home and started battling the blaze.
A short time later all those same crews evacuated the home as the roof started collapsing on them. At that point a second alarm was requested.
The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is on the scene and early indications seem to point to a chimney fire as the cause of the blaze.
There were no injuries.
